Selection is the process of choosing parents for reproduction.
The chosen parents will have the chance to mate and the crossover operator will be applied on them.

Here are the selection methods implemented with optiGA:

Top mate
The first parent is selected by the fitness order.
The second parent is selected randomly.

Roulette rank/cost
With this selection method, the chance of a chromosome to be selected is calculated according to their fitness (cost) or according to their rank.

Tournament
With this selection method, a small subset of chromosomes are selected and the one with the best fitness will become a parent.

Random
This is the simplest method. Parent are simply selected randomly.
